Plans by Anwyl Homes to build 124 new properties in Roby, Merseyside, have been approved by Knowsley Council.

The development, on a site off Edenhurst Avenue, features 114 four-bedroom homes and 10 three-bedroom homes, including open space and tree planting.

The homes will be created on a site once used as a sports and social club for Lucas Aerospace, but has been vacant for around 10 years. The site forms part of Knowsley Council’s Local Plan.

Croft Transport Planning & Design has advised on all transport matters relating to the new development.

This includes a new vehicular access and off site highway works, as well as a temporary bridge to allow construction traffic to enter the site more discreetly.

Managing director at Anwyl Homes Lancashire, John Grime, said: “We are delighted to have secured our second site in Merseyside. The plans for Edenhurst Park are superb and we are looking forward to getting started on site early next year.”

Construction work is set to begin next year, subject to legal agreements.
