A planning application by Story Homes to build 106 new homes at Endmoor Village in South Lakeland has been approved.
Croft Transport Planning & Design was part of the planning team for the development along with planning consultancy Hourigan Connolly.
The development will see new three, four and five-bedroom homes built on a 13-acre greenfield site, with 35% of the homes designated as affordable housing.
Phil Wooliscroft, director at Croft, said: “This scheme has been part of the local plan since 2008 so it’s great to see it finally coming forward to provide much-needed family housing in the area.
“This planning consent follows an intensive 12-month period of pre-application consultations with key stakeholders. It’s been a pleasure to work on behalf of a respected housebuilder like Story Homes on this project.”
The development site lies on land to the north of the village and is accessed off the A65.
The scheme was granted detailed planning consent by South Lakeland District Council’s planning committee in February, subject to completion of the s106 legal agreement.
David Hayward, planner at Story Homes, said: “We have developed a strong working relationship with Croft Transport Planning and we therefore welcomed their assistance with our application for this scheme.
“As well as providing family housing, our Endmoor development will support existing local businesses and help create additional employment for local sub-contractors and the supply chain.”
