A new £13m retail park in Cheshire, on which Croft Transport Planning & Design acted as highways consultants, has been approved.
Cedar Invest has secured planning permission for the 140,000 sq ft retail park on the former Barracks Mill brownfield site in Macclesfield.
The 6.7-acre site, next to the junction between Silk Road and Hurdsfield Road, will include four retail units, a coffee kiosk, and food outlet.
The site has remained unused since 2004 after a fire burned through a former mill on the site, leading to its demolition.
Phil Wooliscroft, director of Croft Transport Planning & Design, said: “It’s great to have been involved in this project which will help revitalise a site that’s been dormant for such a long time.
“We were delighted to advise Cedar Invest on all transport matters relating to the application and look forward to seeing this development get underway.”
Cedar Invest was also supported by property consultancy Gerald Eve. Alyn Nicholls Associates acted as retail planning consultant.
